Knowhomo — Book layout, editorial design

Knohomo is a 200-page photography publication created in close collaboration with Winnipeg photographer Christopher Dowhan, documenting the people, performances, and culture of Winnipeg’s drag scene through photography and personal interviews.

The editorial design was developed collaboratively, with careful consideration given to respecting Dowhan’s vision for his body of work. Photography remains at the centre of the publication, supported by thoughtful sequencing, typography, pacing, and negative space that give both the images and individual stories room to resonate.

The result is a cohesive visual document that brings photography, storytelling, and editorial design together while preserving the distinct character of Dowhan’s work.
