Bonnie Day Restaurant
Bonnie Day — Sub-Branding & Illustrated Merchandise
Bonnie Day, a well-loved restaurant in Winnipeg’s Wolseley neighbourhood, introduced Bonnie by Day, a café concept operating alongside the evening restaurant. The goal was to create a distinct visual identity that clearly differentiated the daytime café experience from the restaurant’s evening atmosphere while maintaining a cohesive connection to the established Bonnie Day brand.
The visual solution included two custom-illustrated signs representing Bonnie by Day and Bonnie by Night. Each sign features a stylized illustration of the restaurant, visually expressing the shift in mood from relaxed daytime café to the evening dining destination. The illustrations balance a playful character with a refined aesthetic that reflects the restaurant's personality.
The identity was further extended into merchandise and takeaway materials, including hats, t-shirts, and a postcard featuring the Bonnie Day breakfast bun and restaurant illustrations. These pieces translate the brand into a fun, tangible expression that strengthens the restaurant’s community presence and reinforces brand recognition.
